Mrs. Martha White Johnson put her hand in God’s hand and on January 19, 1999, she moved to a new building. A building not made by hand.

Marthawas the third daughter of Isaac and Salema White and the late Mazzie L. White. She was born on September 22,1947. At an early age she joined Byrd Hill Baptist Church. Martha later joined the Church of Christ where she served faithfully until her death.

In 1964, Martha married John Henry Johnson who preceded her in death. To this union one child was born, John Henry Johnson, Jr. (Duke).

Martha leaves to cherish her memories: her beloved son, John Henry Johnson (Duke); her father and mother Isaac and Salema White, Dudley, GA; seven sisters, Minster Geraldine Cadle, Minster Mary Ashley (her twin), Miriam Vickers (Johnny Frank), Rose English, all of Dudley, GA, Minster Linenell English (Ira), Atlanta, GA, Christine P. Moore (Roger), Atlanta, GA and Crystal Parks, Dublin, GA; two brothers, Deacon James R. White (Essie) and Theotis White, both of Dudley, GA; five sisters-in-law, Cora (Sam) Hattie (Joe) Gussie, Minnie, Lillie and Hardy B. Johnson; six grandchildren, Keisha, Anketrick, Tarrance, Kentrick, Travis and Tamicheal; seven uncles, ten aunts, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
