On Saturday, December 2, 2017, Patricia Ann Moore Riley transitioned to become an Ivy Beyond the Wall to receive a crown if righteousness at fifty-eights years of age. She was the fourth child and younger daughter of Mr. John E. Moore and the late Mrs. Shadie M. Edmond Moore of Adrian, Georgia.
“Triciann” affectionely called by her family and “pat” to some, accepted Christ at an early age when she joined the Valdosta Missionary Baptist Church, East Dublin, GA. After graduation from the Fort Valley State (College) University and marrying Mr. Alonzo Riley, Mrs. Riley united with the Forest Chapel Baptist Church Family, Forest Park, GA, where she served Forest Chapel faithfully in many capacities including her present position as Financial Secretary.
Mrs. Riley attended school in Treutlen County, Soperton, GA, where she graduated from Treutlen High School in 1977. Mrs. Riley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Fort Valley State (College) University and later matriculated at several universities to receive her Educational Specialist Degree. Mrs. Riley was not one to boast of her accomplishments, but she received numerous awards and honors. Her most cherished award and honor was “Teacher of the Year” at Oliver Elementary School several times.
Mrs. Riley was a member if Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Fort Valley State University Alumni Association and Viola Hart-Felton Chapter NO. 584 of Prince Hall Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Jurisdiction of Georgia.
Triciann loved life and people. She was no stranger to those who touched shoulders with her. Triciann was known for her humble, soft spoken but stern personailty. She enjoyed educating children, giving them her adoring smile daily, as she did with all people. She was loved and revived by many.
